MALOSSI H20 I-Tech cylinder set with Ø 63 mm

The H20 I-Tech cylinder set is designed for the VESPA GTS SUPER 125 built in 2023-2024. With a bore of Ø 63 mm, 58.7 mm stroke and 183 cm³ displacement, the set offers clearly defined technical dimensions for intended competition use.

Cylinder and machining

  • Bore: Ø 63 mm
  • Stroke: 58.7mm
  • Displacement: 183 cm³
  • Compression ratio: 11.48
  • Cylinder-piston clearance: 0.05 mm

The cylinder is made of a primary aluminum alloy with a high content of hardened and tempered silicon. The cylinder liner has a silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel die. Their crossed smoothing is done in two diamond passes with very limited tolerances. Machining is carried out on machine tools with high-precision numerical control. Newly calculated heat exchange surfaces support the thermal design.

Pistons and piston rings

The lightweight, reinforced and ultra-compact piston works with three rings. It is made from a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, which has low thermal expansion. There is a tin coating on the sliding surfaces. The piston is also machined on numerically controlled machine tools and has improved heat exchange surfaces.

  • First ring: compression ring made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel
  • Second ring: special cast iron
  • Wiper ring: three-piece, made of special chrome-plated steel alloy
  • Piston rings with very high mechanical resistance
