The Hepco & Becker tanking basic was specially developed for the motorcycle model BMW S 1000 RR from the construction years 2012 to 2015. This product enables a secure and easy attachment of a compatible tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Product features and scope of delivery

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical lock that ensures a clearly audible snap.
• To remove the tank backpack, an easy -to -use release mechanism, which is located on the front of the backpack, is used.
• The scope of delivery includes the tanking and the necessary counterholder, which is adapted depending on the specific tank shape and handlebar.
• The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled.

Technical information and recommendations

• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is required for the tank sack system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

The tanking basic differs from the Lock-IT model mainly by the type of locking. While the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for centering, the BASIC model makes the lock in a purely mechanical way.

Please note that tank bags and counterholder of the lock-IT system are not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa. It is important that both components come from the same system.
