The Evotech brake lever protection kit is designed to prevent unintentional operation of the front brake lever. The larger road version combines a race-proven concept with a model-specific solution for the Yamaha YZF-R1M.

Construction and materials

• Protective guard made of high-quality aluminum, precisely CNC milled from solid material
• Shaping to minimize air turbulence
• Guard bars and handlebar end weights with durable black powder coating
• Road version heavier and more robust than the original handlebar end weight
• Added weight can reduce high-frequency vibrations on the handlebars

Scope of delivery

• Brake lever protection for the right side of the handlebar
• Model-specific Evotech handlebar end weight for secure attachment
• Matching replacement handlebar end weight for the left side

Assembly

The model-specific Evotech mount allows for easy and secure attachment to the handlebars. The kit is intended exclusively for use with the original throttle tube and handlebar grip.

After installation, it must be checked that the gas has the correct play, opens smoothly and closes automatically. The throttle actuation must not be impaired by the brake lever protection.
