MALOSSI cylinder kit for the Yamaha XSR 125

The MALOSSI cylinder kit ø 63 bolts ø 14 H20 I-Tech 4-stroke is assigned to the Yamaha XSR 125 in the 2022-2024 model year range. The cylinder has a bore of Ø 63 mm, a stroke of 58.7 mm and a displacement of 183 cc. The compression ratio is 11.27.

Structure and technical properties

  • Cylinder material: Primary aluminum alloy with a high proportion of hardened and tempered silicon
  • Cylinder liner with silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel die
  • Cross-smoothing with two diamond passes and very tight tolerances
  • Machining on machine tools with high-precision numerical control
  • Cylinder-piston connection with a tolerance of 0.05 mm
  • Recalculated and improved heat exchange surfaces

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact 3-ring piston is made of a special aluminum alloy with high silicon content and low thermal expansion. A tin layer on the sliding surfaces as well as the lightweight and reinforced design complete the construction. The piston rings are designed for high sliding properties and very high mechanical strength: The I° ring is made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel, the II° ring is made of special ring cast iron. The three-part wiper ring is made from a special chrome-plated steel alloy.

Important assembly information

Installation must only be carried out with a Force Master 2.1 control unit. The product is intended exclusively for competitions at designated venues in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports associations.
