MALOSSI gear set Z 55/40/37/36 for Vespa

The MALOSSI gear set is designed for the Vespa gearbox of the Vespa PX T 5 from the 1985-1993 model year range. The gear combination with Z 55, Z 40, Z 37 and Z 36 is used to implement a variable gear ratio as required.

Function and execution

The gears are made of specially hardened steel. They are manufactured using CNC hobbing machines; The contact surfaces are then ground. Small depressions in the contact surfaces support the transport of oil and thereby improve lubrication between the sliding surfaces of the gears.
