MALOSSI crankshaft for Vespa PK XL Plurimatic 125

This MALOSSI crankshaft is designed for the Vespa PK XL Plurimatic 125 in the 1985-1990 model year range. It takes over the control of the movement of the connecting rod and piston in the engine and supports the intake control via the rotating valve.

The crankshaft is made from reinforced aviation-grade steel and vacuum cast. The construction of the connecting rod is designed to be low in weight with the required rigidity. Tungsten parts are used as counterweights to increase the stability of the shaft.

In the version for engines with a rotating valve inlet, the intake phase is integrated into the inner half crank. The special shape supports efficient fluid dynamics while maintaining the normal external shape of the crankshaft. A revised thread design on the gearbox side as well as the adjusted position and design of the wedge contribute to the robustness of the construction.
