MALOSSI aluminum cylinder for Vespa LX FL 125

The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder ø 63 pin ø 14 4-stroke is a big-bore kit for the Vespa LX FL 125 in the 2012-2018 model year range. The design is intended for racing purposes at designated venues and combines a 63 mm bore with a stroke of 58.6 mm.

The cylinder liner features crossed smoothing with two diamond passes and very limited tolerances. Machining is carried out on numerically controlled machine tools. Revised heat exchange surfaces complement the technical design.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact piston has three rings, a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and a tin coating on the sliding surfaces. It is weight-reduced and reinforced. The piston ring equipment includes a nitrided and chrome-plated I-compression ring, a special cast ring and a three-part wiper ring made of special chrome-plated steel alloy.
