Malossi H20 I-Tech cylinder set with Ø 63 mm

The H20 I-Tech cylinder set from Malossi is designed for the Vespa GTS 125 4 T Iget E 4 from 2017 to 2019. With a cylinder bore of Ø 63 mm, 58.7 mm stroke and 183 cm³ displacement, it offers clearly defined technical key data for use in competition.

The cylinder is made of a primary aluminum alloy with a high content of hardened and tempered silicon. The cylinder liner has a silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel die. Their surface is finished by cross-smoothing with two diamond passes and very limited tolerances. High-precision, numerically controlled machine tools enable defined production. Newly calculated heat exchange surfaces support heat transfer.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact, lightweight and reinforced piston features three rings. It is made from a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, which has low thermal expansion. A tin coating protects the sliding surfaces. The piston is also machined on numerically controlled machine tools and has improved heat exchange surfaces.

• First ring: compression ring made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel
• Second ring: special cast iron
• Wiper ring: three-piece design made of special chrome-plated steel alloy

The special rings combine high sliding properties with very high mechanical resistance.
