Vespa ET 3 [1976-1983] - crankshaft with pin ø 15, connecting rod 97, stroke 51 mm and rotating valve and - cone ø 20
Description
Malossi crankshaft for Vespa ET 3 with rotating valve
This Malossi crankshaft is designed for driving with a rotating valve and combines defined dimensions with a design designed for load-bearing capacity. It guides the movement of the connecting rod and piston and supports the intake control via the crankshaft.
Function and construction
In the version for rotating valves, the suction phase is integrated into the half-crank within the circular mass structure. The pronounced inclination of the half crank supports efficient fluid dynamics. Tungsten parts inserted into the crankshaft serve as counterweights and contribute to the stability of the shaft.
The crankshaft is made from reinforced aviation-grade steel and vacuum cast. The connecting rod geometry is designed to keep weight low while providing the required rigidity. The revised thread on the gear side has a smoother gradation. The adjusted position of the size and shape of the key supports the resilience of the connection. The scope of delivery includes special nuts.
