The PROX forged piston is designed as a replacement solution for the KTM 450 SMR in the full model year range from 2013 to 2022. Precise manufacturing on modern CNC systems supports a precise design for the intended engine. An aluminum alloy with low expansion and friction is used.

Function and execution

The forged piston has standard compression and is designed for a 4T engine. The piston rings are manufactured to exact specifications in OEM factories. Depending on the application, ProX piston rings can be used in cast iron bores, nickel ceramic coatings, boron composites and electrofusion bores.
