The TECNIUM air filter protects important engine components of the KTM 400 EXC from dust, sand and dirt. Pistons, cylinders and valves are thereby shielded from foreign bodies in the intake area. At the same time, the filter supports optimal air permeability for engine operation.

Multi-stage filtering

The filter construction works with two foam layers that retain particles of different sizes:

• An open-pored foam layer holds back larger dirt particles.
• A second, denser layer of foam filters the finest dust particles and allows air to flow through.
