KAWASAKI ZR 7 750 [1999-2004] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-ring chain with rivet link sets new standards in motorcycle technology. This high-performance chain does not require regular relubrication, which makes it particularly low-maintenance. Motorcyclists benefit from the groundbreaking technology that means they don't have to lubricate the chain every 1,000 km. This not only saves time but also costs.

Extensive testing in laboratories and on the road has proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A special feature of this chain is the coating with tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction leads to improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need to clean the chain and use lubricants minimizes environmental impact. The innovative ta-C coating technology was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
