VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged pistons for Husqvarna FE 250

The VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged piston was developed for use in the HUSQVARNA FE 250 from 2017 to 2023. Its forged aluminum construction and racing piston compression combine a competition-focused design with precisely defined dimensions.

Construction for demanding engine use

The shape of the piston crown is designed to improve the flame front and achieve the maximum permissible compression ratio. Reinforcements stiffen the piston structure and reduce piston crown deformation under full load. A surface treatment helps reduce friction.

The design includes a short piston pin and a chamfer with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating. The external nose locking ring is designed to prevent twisting at high speeds. The extra-thin GNH piston ring made of gas nitrided steel supports wear resistance.
