HONDA CB 600 F HORNET [1998-2006] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in motorcycle chain performance and durability. Thanks to its innovative technology, this sophisticated chain does not require regular relubrication, which would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This represents a significant advantage for motorcyclists who value low maintenance and high efficiency.

Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A key component of this high performance is the Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C) coating, one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The combination of extremely high hardness of the coated surface and a low coefficient of friction leads to a significant increase in performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant splash during operation minimizes environmental impact. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
