The ducts direct air into the inside of the brake callipers. This can significantly reduce temperatures at the brake pads and calliper pistons. At the same time, it lowers the thermal load on the brake fluid and the entire braking system. The brake fluid temperature can potentially be reduced by 30 to 40 °C.
