Effective airflow to the brake calliper
The shaped ducts direct airflow towards the brake calliper area. This can significantly reduce temperatures at the brake pads and calliper pistons. It also lowers the thermal load on the brake fluid and brake circuit; the stated reduction in brake-fluid temperature is 30 to 40 °C.
The component is made from a high-temperature-resistant material designed for use in the heat-stressed environment of the braking system.
