Comprehensive care for canvas, leather and split leather

This maintenance kit is designed for the regular cleaning, care and refreshing of accessories, bags and jackets made of canvas, smooth leather or split leather. Since not every product is suitable for every material, the selection should always be based on the respective application instructions.

Contents of the care set

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• Black or brown color cream for smooth leather, 50 ml
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle for split leather
• Cleaning disc, 100 × 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfiber cloth

Waterproofing

The waterproofing spray is intended for the regular treatment of leather, canvas and split leather. If necessary, first clean the item with warm, clear water. The spray can be used on wet or dry material.

• Shake bottle before use.
• Spray evenly from a distance of 10 to 15 cm.
• Follow up with a clean, damp cloth to improve distribution and reduce waste.
• For optimal results, allow to dry for twelve hours.

Keep out of the reach of children, avoid eye and prolonged skin contact and use only in a well-ventilated area.

Waxing and resealing

How often retreatment is required depends on the use of the respective accessory. For regular use, the manufacturer recommends resealing at least once a year.

• Remove dirt and sand, then clean with a sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or detergents.
• Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outside in the sun.
• Place the item to be treated in the sun or near a heat source.
• Gently spread the wax with a soft cloth or sponge, paying particular attention to seams and folds.
• Rub in thoroughly and do not use excess wax.
• Dry with a hairdryer after waxing for an even finish.
• Hang in a warm place overnight.

Color care for smooth leather

The black or brown color cream is used to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must not be used on split leather. First clean the area, massage the cream in with a sponge, let it dry for 15 minutes and then polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and cleaning disc

• The soft brush allows for even, scratch-free cleaning.
• The brass bristle brush is intended for cleaning and caring for split leather.
• The cleaning disc removes glue and sticky residue from leather or split leather. Apply gentle pressure over the area and then clean with a soft cloth.
