“Obiettivo Dakar” is dedicated to the myth of the Paris-Dakar and the people who particularly shaped the early editions in Africa. The book traces the path of the race launched by Thierry Sabine through the stories of eight participants who intensively experienced its difficulties and its fascination.

Motorcycles, people and adventure

The legendary Dakar motorcycles with their colors, sponsors and graphics are the focus, as are the personal stories behind the race. One of the protagonists is Fabio Marcaccini from Unit Garage, who contributes to keeping the myth of the Dakar alive with his stories and his work. Experiences from the Dakar and later rallies also form the origin of some of Unit Garage's ideas.
