Comprehensive care for canvas, leather and split leather

The Unit Garage care set bundles various products for cleaning, impregnating and caring for accessories, bags and jackets made of canvas, smooth leather or split leather. Which product is used depends on the respective material and the associated application instructions.

Scope of delivery

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• Tube of color cream in black or brown, 50 ml
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle for split leather
• “Para” cleaning disc, 100 × 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfiber cloth

Impregnation

The waterproofing spray is intended for accessories, bags and jackets made of leather, canvas or split leather and is recommended for regular treatment.

• If necessary, clean the item with warm, clear water.
• The spray can be used on wet or dry material.
• Shake the bottle and spray evenly from a distance of 10-15 cm.
• Subsequent wiping with a clean, damp cloth improves performance and reduces waste.
• For optimal results, allow to dry for 12 hours.

Safety instructions: Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid eye and prolonged skin contact. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Care with solid wax

How often you should wax depends on usage. For regular use, Unit Garage recommends resealing at least once per year. A soft cloth or sponge and a heat source are required for application.

• Remove dirt and sand and clean the material with a sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or detergents.
• Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outside in the sun.
• Place the item in the sun or near a heat source.
• Spread the wax carefully with a cloth or sponge, paying particular attention to seams and folds.
• Rub thoroughly and do not use excess wax.
• Dry with a hairdryer after waxing for an even finish.
• Then hang in a warm place overnight.

Color cream for smooth leather

The black or brown color cream is used to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must not be used on split leather.

• Clean the area to be treated.
• Massage the cream in with a sponge and allow it to absorb.
• Let dry for 15 minutes.
• Polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and cleaning disc

• The soft brush allows for even, scratch-free cleaning.
• The brass bristle brush is designed for cleaning and polishing split leather.
• The “Para” cleaning disc removes glue and sticky materials from leather or split leather. To do this, apply light pressure over the area and then clean it with a soft cloth.
