Touring windshield for the BMW R 1200 RT

The touring windshield is designed specifically for the 2005–2013 BMW R 1200 RT. Its generous shape is aimed at touring riders who want greater protection from oncoming airflow and styling designed to complement the touring BMW.

Touring comfort for long distances

The extensive windshield contour directs oncoming airflow over a larger area and can reduce air pressure and turbulence around the helmet and shoulders. The greater coverage also benefits the passenger on longer journeys.

PMMA acrylic and a choice of finishes

The windshield is made from high-quality PMMA acrylic with DOT626 marking and a tested thickness of 4 mm. It is available in two visually distinct versions:

• Smoke, code BM039F
• Clear, code BM039T
• 4 mm thick PMMA acrylic
• Generous touring contour
• Wind coverage designed for rider and passenger

Installation

The windshield is attached to the designated windshield mount on the BMW R 1200 RT. Unless otherwise specified, all screws must be tightened to a torque of 3 Nm.

Approval

An ABE is available for the touring windshield. Before use, compare the motorcycle and stated scope of validity with the document.
