This Öhlins rear shock absorber was manufactured and tuned to exclusive specifications for the BMW R 12 nineT and R 12. In addition to height adjustment, it offers separate adjustment options for compression damping, rebound damping and spring preload.

Height adjustment

The adjustment range is from 415 to 425 mm, compared with 405 mm for the original. This allows the seat height to be raised by approximately 20 to 40 mm compared to the original seat.
