PUIG New Generation Touring windscreen for the YAMAHA MT-07

The PUIG New Generation Touring windscreen was developed specifically for the model year 2025 YAMAHA MT-07. Its aerodynamically refined shape improves upper-body protection from direct airflow, combining high touring comfort with lines that blend harmoniously into the motorcycle’s distinctive front end.

Targeted airflow for greater comfort

Inspired by fighter jets, the upper section captures the frontal airflow and redirects it toward less exposed areas of the body. A central channel with an integrated air vent reduces turbulence and wind noise perceived by the rider. At the same time, the deflector-like lower contours give the windscreen additional structural rigidity.

In aerodynamic testing, the optimized shape reduced the wind pressure acting on the rider by 48 percent—from 6.4 kg to 4.2 kg. This reduces exposure to airflow and the resulting fatigue, particularly on longer rides.

Durable construction

The windscreen is made from 3 mm thick, highly impact-resistant acrylic, combining low weight with excellent resistance to impacts and adverse conditions. The metal brackets are also 3 mm thick and feature anti-corrosion treatment and a textured black finish.

Designed to complement the MT-07 front end

The side contours echo the design of the motorcycle’s front end, creating a smooth, balanced transition. At 310 mm high, the Touring version provides extended frontal protection without impairing the rider’s view.

Installation and regular checks

Installation is designed to be straightforward and is expected to take around 15 minutes; advanced technical knowledge is not required. To ensure a secure fit over time, the screws should be checked regularly for tightness.
