PUIG R-Racer screen for the YAMAHA YZF-R3 2019
The R-Racer screen combines PUIG’s racing experience with a model-specific design for the model year 2019 YAMAHA YZF-R3. Measuring 330 × 280 mm, it is 20 mm taller than the original screen. Its shape is designed to provide clear visibility and improved aerodynamic efficiency compared with the stock screen.
Developed through racing
For the R-Racer line, PUIG draws on many years of experience in MotoGP and WorldSBK, including collaborations with the Repsol Honda Team and Kawasaki Racing Team. The screen shape was tested in a virtual wind tunnel to optimize the aerodynamic flow of air. Its additional height deflects more of the airflow that would otherwise hit the helmet and shoulders.
Robust, precision-manufactured construction
Developed and manufactured in Barcelona, the screen is made from 3 mm thick, highly impact-resistant acrylic. It combines low weight with excellent strength and durability. The rounded, 2 mm thick edge passes the relevant German TÜV safety inspection. An artificial vision inspection system supports quality control during manufacturing.
Fitment and installation
Vehicle application: YAMAHA YZF-R3, model year 2019.
The original screws are used for installation. Additional components such as edge trim are not required.
