AXP Enduro Xtrem underrun protection for the Honda CRF 450 L

The AXP Enduro Xtrem underrun protection is designed for the Honda CRF 450 L (PD 11 L) built in 2019-2021. It protects the engine area and extends as a continuous construction from the frame to the underside of the footrests.

Function and construction

The protective plate is made of high density polyethylene with a thickness of 8 mm. The material and the new design and manufacturing process are designed for use as underrun protection. The extended version also covers the shock absorber deflection and thus expands the protected area under the motorcycle.

testing

The underrun protection was tested and approved by Wade Young from the Sherco Factory Team after a year of testing under “Hard / Extreme” conditions.

Factual note

The design combines protection of the engine, frame area and underside of the footrests with an extended cover for the shock absorber deflection. The reinforcement part supplied under the deflection ensures that the material thickness is twice as thick as intended.
