The cylinder is made of aluminum with a high content of hardened and tempered silicon. The cylinder liner has a silicon carbide coating and cross-cut honing. Machining is carried out on machine tools with precise numerical control. The cylinder-piston clearance is 0.05 mm. Newly calculated heat exchange surfaces support the structural design of the cylinder.

Lightweight piston with three rings

The ultra-compact piston is made from special aluminum with a high silicon content. Its low thermal expansion and the tin coating on the sliding surfaces are tailored to the intended use. The numerically controlled machining, the lightweight construction and the reinforced design form the design features of the piston. Improved heat exchange surfaces complement the design.
